As part of the professional training conducted at the Society of Christian Youth in Jerusalem, a yearly program is being developed to build life skills and educational workshops on various topics that help in building the personality of the students. The Community Work Center/University of Jerusalem holds a number of these workshops every year. The first workshop was held on Monday, October 10, 2022, in cooperation with the Palestinian Women’s Union, and focused on the topic of personal status laws; the origin of the law and its connection to Sharia, and the differences between Jordanian, Palestinian, and Israeli law and their application in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza. The meeting was attended by 20 male and female students from the institute, and was led by Professor Halima Abu Salb.
