Today, at the World Conference on Human Rights, the director of the Community Action Center – Al-Quds University, Munir Nuseibah, gave a statement on the Vienna Declaration stating:

 

“All peoples have the right to self-determination, as confirmed in the Vienna declaration. However, Israel’s apartheid regime against the Palestinians has rendered this promise entirely meaningless.”

 

The CAC urged the council members to:

 

1. Recognize and declare that the system Israel has built in Jerusalem amounts to the crime against humanity of apartheid.

2. Act swiftly and effectively and call on Israel to respect the right to education for Palestinians in Jerusalem, and stop targeting Palestinian schools that teach the Palestinian curriculum.
