As part of a series of community meetings organized by the Community Work Center/University of Jerusalem through the Support Unit, the third educational meeting of the year was held on Monday, November 7, 2022, on the topic of stress and support for a group of women in the Jerusalem area – the Old City, at the Community Sarya Center. The concept was defined and the importance of using it in the field of human rights and the rights of the Palestinian people to live in freedom was emphasized. The group interacted actively with the activities of the meeting and emphasized that this was the first time they had been exposed to the concept of support in this way and its use in international forums. In addition, the different meanings of terms such as support and pressure, influence and negotiation were discussed. The attendees expressed the importance of these meetings and linked these terms to the case of the gates and the case of Sheikh Jarrah. The meeting was led by the Support Unit colleagues Hamin Shahin and Reema Rizk, and additional meetings will be held in different areas throughout the current year.
